Another Controversy For Atlanta Board of Education Member, Courtney English

Atlanta, GA –
As the Atlanta Board of Education continues to be divided over leadership issues another controversy concerning member Courtney English comes to light.
WABE's Rose Scott reports:

The Fulton County Taxpayer's Foundation has been critical of the Atlanta Public Schools regarding the cheating investigation, the leadership of Superintendent Dr. Beverly Hall and former chair LaChandra Butler Burks.

WABE has learned Courtney English's attorney, Douglas Rosenbloom sought a financial contribution from the group to help pay for his client's legal defense when English was facing ethics charges.
Barbara Payne is with the foundation.

"because Courtney is with the group the foundation backs for leadership changes, I think the mistake was that they think we back individuals and no"

Calls to both Courtney English and Douglas Rosenbloom were not returned by airtime.
