Arrests Made In Internet Child Pornography Bust
By Rose Scott
Atlanta, GA – Operation Shattered Innocence began late last year.
Authorities discovered images of child pornography were being transmitted and shared among computers throughout the state.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was able to track the images.
John Bankhead is department spokesperson:
"they were able to obtain search warrants for 44 locations in Georgia, 17 local agencies and 3 federal agencies including FBI, ICE and the secret service involved"
Bankhead says it will take all of those departments to continue the sweep.
And that's good news to Kaffie McCullough.
She works and lobbies to stop the prostitution of girls in Georgia:
"it helps to raise awareness on this issue on this issue, it's one arm of the same part that we've put most of our effort because it gets conversations going"
So far 21 people have been arrested.
