Atlanta Food And Wine Festival Is Now Underway in Midtown
By Marjorie Coley
Atlanta, Ga. –
The Atlanta Food and Wine Festival is now underway in Midtown. Metro Atlantans will get a chance to sip, savor and learn about the best southern food and beverage traditions. Marjorie Coley reports.
The weekend-long festival is the first culinary weekend in the US that focuses exclusively on the southern region. It'll showcase authentic food, wines and spirits from around the South. Festival goers can participate in tasting seminars, interactive cooking demonstrations and tasting tents. Dominique Love is CEO and co Founder of the festival.
Dominique Love says, "Our tasting tents are broken into really interesting vignettes of barbeque, fried chicken, southern snacks, southern sweets and craft beer, all wonderful, wonderful foods. You also have the option of heading to the Loews Hotel. If you travel one block north, you'll see our street cart pavilion."
Festival goers can also take part in panel discussions. The festival is headquartered at the Loew's Hotel at Peachtree and 11th and runs through Sunday.
