Atlanta, Georgia – This is the first full week of school for students in the Atlanta Public School system and one of the biggest concerns for schools in the US is the large number of high school drop outs.
But a key indicator of whether or not a student will graduate happens back in the 9th grade. Recently WABE's David Barasoain spoke with Dr. Beverly Hall - the superintendent of APS - and asked her about the significance of the 9th grade and how students can make this transition into high school.
