Borders Rejects College Group's Accusations
By Rose Scott
Atlanta, GA – A group calling themselves the Coalition of Concerned Clark Atlanta University Students emailed the letter to the chair of CAU's Board of Trustees Juanita Baranco.
The group charges Borders with grandstanding regarding public safety issues on local college campuses including the recent shooting death of a Spelman student .on CAU's campus.
Borders refutes those claims:
((frankly we have been engaged not only since this tragedy but before this tragedy and we have offered to host meetings for all SGA presidents and not just AUC but for all of the schools here))
CAU officials say there's no record of the student group.
WABE's interview request for a representative of the group was not returned.
In a statement Board chair Juanita Baranco calls Borders a committed trustee and student focused.
Baranco has contributed 19-hundred dollars to Border's campaign.
