Atlanta, GA – This week, one of the Vatican's top officials was in Atlanta, for a visit to Emory University. Cardinal Walter Kasper of Germany is the President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
It's now nearly fifty years since the start of the Second Vatican Council, where among other things the Catholic Church stated its goal was achieve eventual reunification with other Christian denominations.
