Deck Collapse rescue continues

Atlanta, GA – Rescue crews are still removing cars from the Centergy parking deck after yesterday's collapse.

At this hour, officials still say no one has been injured nor have they found any victims.

WABE's Charles Edwards reports

With the help of a massive crane, crews have removed more than 60 cars from the parking deck near Georgia Tech's Technology Square.

The deck can hold up to 1500 cars. However, Atlanta Fire and Rescue spokesperson Bobby Stewart says crews are still working to determine how many cars were parking inside when the deck's 5th floor collapsed.

Stewart also says it's unclear how long the process will take.

STEWART: "We don't have a set time for the rescue operations but we will be out here until every vehicle and every inch, every confined space and every corner of the parking deck is searched."

Once that's complete, an investigation will begin into the cause of the collapse.
