Delta Airlines tests new check-in system
By Charles Edwards
Atlanta, GA – Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has started testing its new system for passengers checking-in.
The tests began yesterday at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International and 3 other airports across the country. The new system cuts down on the number of steps needed to check in at Delta's computerized kiosks.
That's according to Josh Weiss. He's the managing director for Delta's website and self service. Weiss says the system is designed for casual and business passengers.
WEISS: easier to approach, more welcoming, clearer to a customer how to get started and less likely to be something confusing or intimidating to them.
Weiss will spend the next month testing the system before the airline rolls it out to other airports.
