Dozens of local bakers come together for Sugar Coma Festival
Atlanta, Ga – Most independent bakeries can't afford much marketing. This was a way to get lots of them together under one roof so that people could try their goods. One of the many people sampling the treats was 31 year old Kira Akita who took exception when asked her if all the cupcakes were worth the $25 admission.
"That's such a man question, because it wasn't all cupcakes. Especially if you're a woman who's planning an event, the money you would spend going and tasting something, there's no way. Twenty five dollars is nothing compared to what you would normally spend."
Around 50 bakers answered the call from local blogger The Broke Socialite, who organized the event. Besides all the cupcakes, there were cookies, maple cotton candy, specialty vegan desserts, and much more.
