Drug dealer testifies in no-knock trial

Atlanta, GA – The trial highlighting the use of no-knock warrants by law enforcement continued today in Fulton County Superior Court.

The jury heard from a drug dealer who police officers said lied about drugs being sold out of Kathryn Johnston's home.

Defense lawyers hope to prove Atlanta Police Department officer Arthur Tesler was forced to help cover up an illegal drug raid of Kathryn Johnston's home.

However, Prosecutor Kellie Hill wants to convince the jury Tesler is as responsible as his partners; officers Greg Junnier and Jason J.R. Smith. In an attempt to prove that, Hill asked 25 year old-drug dealer Fabian Sheats about the officers.

HILL TO SHEATS: Which one are you more familiar with? All 3 of them. All 3? Yes ma'am. When you see one you see the other one is that correct?

Sheats said Junnier and Smith were with Tesler in 2006 when Tesler arrested him twice for drug dealing.

However, Tesler's defense attorney honed in on those arrests to question Sheats' credibility.

When they asked the judge for the no-knock warrant, police said Sheats told them a man named Sam was selling drugs out of Johnston's home. On the stand, Sheats said he doesn't know any Sam and said he never saw anyone selling out of Johnston's home.
