Atlanta, GA – Today nearly 20-thousand people were provided meals from Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless.
It was the annual Martin Luther King Jr, Dinner.
Now, the organization is preparing to join forces with a local group to help with their Haiti relief efforts.
WABE's Rose Scott reports:

Over the last 8 years Hosea Feed the Hungry has traveled to Haiti with other mission groups.
Now after last week's devastating earthquake Hosea will use its Haitian partnerships to help Atlanta based Haitian Alliance.
The Alliance works to bring domestic programs to Haiti such as economic growth and literacy campaigns.
Saurell Quettan with the group says now the focus is getting supplies to earthquake victims:

Quettan ((gauze, bandages, first aid kits, antibiotics, iv kit anything that one would need to set up a hospital or clinic in an open air or field we're also collecting food that's ready to eat))

Quettan says without partnering with Hosea collecting those items would be difficult:

Quettan ((they're supporting us with the collection, the shipping and they will be in Haiti with us side by side handling the distribution))

There are several drop locations throughout the metro area including all 5 major counties.
That information can be found online at transform Haiti---dot-- org.
