Atlanta, GA – On Friday, the Federal Government released figures showing the nation's jobless rate remained flat in July, with zero job creation. This was especially bad news for Georgia and metro Atlanta, where the jobless rate is above the national average, and job creation is well below it. WABE's Denis O'Hayer spoke with Emory University economist Tom Smith, an assistant professor at the Goizueta School of Business.
