Norwood responds to Franklin

Atlanta, GA – During an Atlanta Mayoral debate today, candidate Mary Norwood dismissed critical comments made by outgoing Mayor Shirley Franklin.

WABE's Charles Edwards reports

In comments clarified this week to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Franklin said Norwood has not demonstrated the vision, integrity and leadership to be Mayor.
When asked about the comments during the V-103/WAOK radio debate, Norwood says voters not Franklin will choose who wins.

NORWOOD: "We have had over 45 debates and forums where people have heard our answers and seen our vision. I have on my website things that I have done and things that I want to get done as the next mayor."

Throughout the campaign, Norwood has consistently directed people to her website for details on her platform. She's also been garnering the highest percentage of votes in every Mayoral poll released.

The most recent, from V-103 and 11 Alive News, shows Norwood so far ahead in the 6 person race, she might avoid a runoff.
