Ousted Clayton board members wants probe

Atlanta, GA – Norreese Haynes wants Clayton's district attorney to launch a grand jury investigation into his removal from the school board.

Haynes contends the board should have given in 10 days notice before kicking him off during Monday's meeting.

Clayton DA Jewel Scott says Haynes has not submitted his request in writing.

SCOTT: I'm not sure at this point exactly what we're looking at but certainly he would have a chance to come in and because he's an elected official, he has an opportunity to bring his attorney with him as well.

DA Scott says Haynes could bring his case to the grand jury currently looking into Clayton County's school accreditation problems.

Haynes was unavailable for comment.
