Perdue vs. Baker: An Analysis from Georgia State University Law Professor Lynn Hogue

Atlanta, GA – On March 25th, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced he will appoint a special Attorney General to initiate a lawsuit against the Federal Government, challenging the new health care reform law. Perdue, a Republican, acted after Democratic Attorney General Thurbert Baker refused to start a lawsuit. Baker said the state would lose the case, and spend a lot of money in the process. WABE's Denis O'Hayer spoke with Georgia State University law professor Lynn Hogue about the issues in this case.
