Reaction to Nichols' judge's comments in New Yorker
By Charles Edwards
Atlanta, GA – After the New Yorker magazine printed controversial comments from the judge in the Brian Nichols case, questions about the Hilton Fuller's future have swirled around the legal community.
In its online version, The New Yorker quotes Judge Fuller as saying, everyone in the world knows Nichols did it . The comment came after Fuller reportedly said arguing delusional compulsion is Nichols' lawyers' last resort.
Criminal defense attorney Page Pate called Fuller's actions contradictory.
PAGE: And its even more incredible when he was entered an order preventing anyone else associated with the case from talking.
Even before the New Yorker article, many lawmakers and lawyers including Fulton County district attorney Paul Howard wanted Fuller off the case because of mounting pre-trial expenses.
