Troy Davis Clemency Denied: Is This the Final Legal Stop, and Will this Case Change the Death Penalty Argument?

Atlanta, GA – On Tuesday, Sept. 20th, the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles denied the clemency request from Troy Anthony Davis. He is scheduled to be executed on Wednesday, Sept. 21st, for the 1989 killing of Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail. Atlanta criminal defense attorney Page Pate is WABE's legal analyst. He talked about the diminishing legal options for Davis's supporters, and about the meaning of this case for future death penalty battles, in a conversation with WABE's Denis O'Hayer.
