Trustee to calculate Vick's worth

Atlanta, GA – How much is Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick now worth?

It's a question neither the convicted felon nor a federal bankruptcy judge knows the answer to.

That's why the judge will appoint a trustee to get down to the bottom of things.

Vick filed for bankruptcy in July. Since then, the judge says it's become apparent the former NFL star knows little about his finances. Vick has said his assets range somewhere between 10 and 50 million dollars. But, he delegated the management of his money to others.

That may be part of the problem. One former advisor faces securities fraud charges. Another has been accused of financial mismanagement.

The judge hopes the trustee will able to make sense of it all. Darryl Laddin is a bankruptcy expert with the law firm Arnall Golden Gregory.

LADDIN: A trustee would retain professionals who would be able to go about the process of locating assets and managing those assets properly.

A trustee will be appointed for Vick on September 5th.
